TITEBOND II ULTIMATE Wood Glue is the first one-part, water cleanup wood glue ever offered that is proven waterproof. The waterproof formula passes the ANSI/HPVA Type I water-resistance specification and offers superior bond strength, longer open assembly time and lower application temperature. TITEBOND III is non-toxic, solvent free and cleans up with water – safer to use than traditional waterproof wood glues. It provides strong initial tack, sands easily without softening and is FDA approved for indirect food contact (cutting boards). PREPARATION :
- The surfaces must be clean, dry, properly cured and free of dirt, oil, paint, old adhesive, wax and sealers.
APPLICATION :
- This Wood Glue is not for continuous submersion or for use below the waterline. However, if your wood project is to be submerged for short periods or exposed to ambient humidity for long periods, this adhesive is the right choice.
- Application temperature must be above 47°F (8.4°C).
- Apply wood glue using the plastic bottles for thin applications.
- The glue can also be applied with a roller or brush, depending on the project.
- The clamping pressure required for tight joints is usually between 100 and 150 psi for softwoods, 125 to 175 psi for medium woods and 175 to 250 psi for hardwoods.
- Scrape and sand off dried excess.
WORKING AND DRYING TIME :
- OPEN ASSEMBLY TIME : 8 to 10 minutes.
- TOTAL ASSEMBLY TIME: 20 to 25 minutes.
- CLAMPING PRESSURE TIME : 30 minutes.
- COMPLETE DRYING (DO NOT STRESS JOINTS) : 24 hours.
COLOURS :
Tan (translucent when dried).
TOOL CLEANING :
Immediately after use with water.
COVERAGE :
250 ft2 per gallon approx. depending on the project and application method.
STORAGE :
1 year in tightly closed container stored above 75°F (23.5°C).
