OPERA® is a two-component bio-based varnish for heavy-duty wood floors designed to deliver exceptional durability. With 71% mineral and bio-based ingredients, it combines performance with environmental responsibility. Ideal for high-traffic areas such as commercial spaces, offices, or residential interiors, it protects and enhances wood while making maintenance easier.

Preparation:
Sand the floor down to bare wood: coarse grit (24–36), medium grit (50–60), then fine grit (100–120).
Vacuum carefully. Wood must be dry (moisture below 10%).
Fill cracks with EVO Wood Filler & Spackle.
Wood can be stained using Blanchon products with the appropriate primer.
Do not use strong cleaners, bleaching agents, or stains.
Application:
Mix 9 parts Component A (Opera®) with 1 part Component B (Aqua Pro Hardener).
Stir thoroughly for 2–3 minutes and use within 90 minutes.
Apply with a 10 mm medium-pile roller or spatula.
Apply 3 even coats, or 2 coats if a primer such as PRIM’SEALER is applied first.
Light sanding is required between the 2nd and 3rd coat or if more than 24 hours pass between applications.
Drying:
- DRY TO TOUCH: after 45 minutes
- RECOATABLE: after 4 hours
- LIGHT FOOT TRAFFIC: after 24 hours
- FULL CURE: 7–10 days
- Avoid rugs, coverings, and heavy furniture during the first 10 days.
Number of Coats:
3 direct coats, or 2 coats with a primer
Coverage:
107 sq. ft. (10 m²) per litre per coat
Cleaning tools:
Clean immediately with water
Maintenance:
Vacuum or sweep regularly. Occasionally clean with a slightly damp mop.
Use Lisabril® or a neutral soap. Avoid floor machines, string mops, and products containing silicone, ammonia, or abrasives.
For heavily used areas, maintain with Renovator (matte or satin) and Lisabril®.
Refinishing:
Refresh scratched varnish by applying a new coat of the same varnish.
Clean the surface with EXTREMO by LIGNA®, then rinse thoroughly. Lightly sand with 120-grit sandpaper and vacuum before reapplying OPERA varnish.

Storage:
Component A: store frost-free. Component B: frost-resistant. Reseal tightly after use and wipe the hardener neck to prevent the cap from sticking.
